When the system flags a fraudulent activity, Airbase will check with the Card Owner to verify if they made the spend. Airbase will take action based on their verification, and the system will learn based on the input to ensure future transactions go through smoothly.
Fraud alerts from Airbase.
1. Airbase mobile app.
Here’s what the push notification for a fraud alert looks like in the Airbase mobile app:
The Card Owner can flag whether the transaction is legitimate or fraudulent.
The same options are available on the fraud alert email from Airbase:
3. Airbase Account.
When you log in to your Airbase Account, you will find the alert on the Dashboard.
The Review Transaction option will give you further information on the transaction along with the options to mark it as fraudulent or legitimate.
Fraud preventive actions.
In certain cases, Airbase will decline the suspicious transaction.
If the Card Owner marks the transactions as legitimate, Airbase will whitelist the merchant and all the future transactions will go through.
If the Card Owner reports the transaction as fraudulent, the card will be locked immediately and suspended after 48 hours.
If the transaction was marked as fraudulent by mistake, your Airbase Admin can revert the action within 48 hours by unlocking the card.
