Unique Transaction Identifier

Airbase debit and credit entries that appear in bank account statements will provide more context on the invoice being paid and the overall transaction. This makes reconciliation easy for the accounting teams and reduces friction in the payment communication with your customers who subscribe to Airbase.

To give more context to the invoice being paid, the transaction description will include the customer's name suffixed by a 10-character unique key. The suffix looks like this: 

AB-<7-character Unique Key>

Here’s what it means:

• AB: Shortened form of Airbase.
• The Unique Key following AB is a 7-character alpha-numeric uniquely generated for each transaction.

For example, if the transaction description is XYZ Ltd AB-AIU98UJ, XYZ Ltd is the customer making the payment, and AIU98UJ is the unique 7-character key generated for this transaction.

These changes will also reflect in the customer’s transaction description. Their format is <Your Organization's Name> AB-<7-character Unique Key>.
